As a Brevard, NC local, professional photographer, and experienced photography educator, Amanda invites you to join her for a private, custom photography workshop and driving/hiking tour in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. Amanda is a classically trained photographer who has guided photography workshops and tours in the Blue Ridge for several years. This area of the Appalachian Mountain Range is especially lovely because it is in a lush temperate rainforest. The year-round custom workshops focus on the area's most spectacular mossy waterfalls and vista views of mountain layers, where you can focus on learning more about the art of photography and stepping up your game with whatever camera you want to get more comfortable with.

These private outdoor photography workshops and hiking tours visit a mix of well-hidden and well-known spots in the Western North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains. Each private workshop is tailored to your interests and fitness levels. Tour the vista views of the mountains, stunning waterfalls, vibrant fall colors, rare spring blossoms, rhododendron tunnels, spectacular sunset views, and more based on the season.

The most popular months for touring the Blue Ridge are typically from May to November. The spectacular mountain laurels and rhododendron tunnels typically blossom in late May - June and peak fall colors tend to occur in mid-late October here in Southern Appalachia, but the winter months still offer some beautiful views of vistas and waterfalls with some stunning light that is generally under appreciated.

No fancy-schmancy camera or hiking gear is needed. You are invited to practice photography on whatever camera you prefer. Camera phones, film cameras, digital SLRs, and mirrorless cameras are welcome. You might be surprised by what your camera phone can do! You should know that you're not alone if you own a camera you don't feel comfortable using yet - this is among the most common reasons for booking a tour. Amanda will gladly help you get more comfortable adjusting your settings and framing up various shots throughout the tour.
All photography experience and fitness levels are welcome.

There is a custom route and itinerary with amazing views perfect for anyone and everyone.
Transportation is provided for one-on-one workshops and instruction.

Groups of two or more are welcome to drive separately. Please inquire with a request for group rates that are dependent on factors that can be determined via a quick conversation.

Snacks and water are provided; you may bring snacks/meals and utilize the handy portable refrigerator/freezer.

Pick-up is available within a one-hour radius of Brevard (subject to additional charge).

The touring vehicle is a comfortable hybrid crossover which is thoroughly cleaned and sanitized before each tour for your comfort and peace of mind.
